In this hands-on working session we will focus on learning ways to make retrospectives more productive and engaging.

The content is created as a joint effort between me, the facilitator, and you, the participants. It offers a unique experience in each workshop because each group of people will bring new insights.

Through a series of exercises together we will find out:​​

• What separates an awesome retrospective from an awful one;
• What role the Scrum values play in retrospectives;
• What behaviours we want to encourage and discourage during a retrospective and how to do it;
• What simple tools and techniques you can start using right now to solve common retrospective challenges;

And much more insightful and powerful information that will make you a kick-ass retrospective facilitator.

Topics covered in the class:​

• Retrospective Framing. We’ll start by setting the stage for the workshop and discuss what is the purpose of retrospectives, and how do good and bad retrospectives look like.
• Scrum Values in Retrospectives. We’ll gather data around how values impact and are impacted by retrospectives, as well as what behaviours we want to encourage to build the right culture for awesome retrospectives.
• Building Values. We’ll generate some insights around practices to overcome some of the common challenges you might be facing and tools that help build Scrum values.
• Creating a Plan for Long-lasting Change. After some valuable reflection time, we’ll decide what to do based on all that we learned during the workshop. You’ll be able to ask for advice as well as give it to your peers.
• Closing. In closing, we’ll share our learnings, insights and Aha! moments.

	Hi, my name is Daria Bagina. I am a Professional Scrum Trainer and a practicing Scrum Master. I love sharing my experience and practical advice to help build strong teams. In this workshop, I talk about retrospectives - one of my favourite events in Scrum. I’ve always been known to be a great facilitator of sometimes difficult discussions. Extremely enriching experience! Daria does an excellent job empowering individuals to run effective retrospectives.
