The first step of the Agile consulting engagement is to review and analyze the current situation in the organization to create a personalized improvement plan.

Regardless of the results of the Agile assessment, the implementation of the action plan usually starts with communication, creating alignment, and training.
Implementation
On-going coaching as defined in the improvement plan to achieve organizational goals with the help of Agile and Scrum approaches.Overview

We will look at foundational concepts of Agile and how they are integrated in the culture of the team, department, company. To get the full picture we will also review the organization structures and processes.
Deliverable
Agility Assessment (a quantitative analysis of the current state based on key agility factors) with an improvement plan proposal.
The assessment is based on the in-house model developed over years of working with organizations going through Agile consulting transformations.
Timeline
From one week to two months depending on the availability of interviewees and team meetings as well as the scope of the transformation.
Participants
Employees on all levels of the organization based on the scope of the transformation (team, department, product, whole company). Regardless of the scope, leadership and management teams will be included.
Goal
To better understand current challenges and find improvement points that will have the biggest impact on the organizational agility in the long run.
Approach
Interviews with employees; observation of current meetings, communications and work of the teams; analysis of current processes.
Overview
The success of the transformation will depend on leadership involvement and organizational alignment. To set the stage we will collaborate on creating a strong communication plan on all levels of the organization, define training needed, and more.
Deliverable
Communication strategy in action. Initial training for everyone involved completed.
Timeline
From a couple of weeks to a couple of months depending on the training needs. Communication plan is worked on in parallel.
Participants
Everyone who will be involved in the transformation on all levels of the organization, including leadership.
Goal
To create a momentum and start strong with the Agile initiative.
Create a common vision of Agile and associated benefits to the organization.
Approach
A set of working sessions to agree on communication strategy, processes, and tools. Official Scrum training and/or customized training and workshops.
Overview
Coaching and training as defined in the improvement plan to achieve organizational goals with the help of Agile and Scrum approaches.
Deliverable
As defined in the action plan.
Timeline
A realistic timeline to start seeing real results is 6 months. Some small improvements can be made in a couple of months, but those generally don’t last.
Participants
Everyone who will be involved in the transformation on all levels of the organization, including leadership.
Goal
To create self-sustainable processes and teams as well as strong Agile leadership. My personal goal is to be able to leave the organization knowing that you can continue leveraging the benefits of agility on your own.
Approach
The term and details of the implementation will depend on the results of the previous steps and will need to be negotiated separately.
